Jason Pierce - 10u

Jason Pierce, a level 5 USA hockey coach, started his coaching career over a decade ago in Boston, Massachusetts. Jason played four years of NCAA hockey at Franklin Pierce University, where he graduated in 2006. This will be Jason's third consecutive season as Head Coach of the Mallards 10U team. Aside from coaching the 10U Mallards, Jason is also the Youth Hockey Director of the Central Austin Hockey Association.
Eli Billing (goalie) from Windsor, Ontario, grew up playing AAA hockey for the Windsor Jr. Spitfires. He then went on to play four years of junior hockey, spending time in the GOJHL and in the NAHL for the Philadelphia Rebels. Following his junior career, he played four years of NCAA hockey at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, graduating in 2022. Eli has been involved in coaching minor hockey in Windsor for years. He worked alongside his Dad, Paul Billing, who was a former professional hockey player and with former Detroit Red Wings/Texas Stars goalie coach, Jim Bedard.

Ralph Canul - 12u Red

Ralph Canul has over 30 years of experience in hockey. He brings a deep passion and understanding of the game to coaching. Originally from Brownsville, Texas, he began his hockey journey playing travel roller hockey on the East Coast, including time in Baltimore. His years on the rink have shaped his approach to coaching, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and a love for the sport.
Steve Cagle grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. Steve began playing hockey at the age of 11 in the Birmingham Hockey League. He played house league, select and travel hockey for the Birmingham Jr. Bulls. In 1981, Steve scored the high school division winning goal in the championship game. Steve began his coaching career in 1983 when he took over for the head coach who had quit midseason. During Steve's 25 year coaching career, he has coached youth travel and house teams, including Head Coach of Team South. Steve has also been a college head coach in the ACHA, with the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he led them to a 14 win improvement from his first season. He was also Head coach at West Virginia University. Steve has 19 years experience coaching at summer hockey camps. Steve earned his USA Hockey Level 5 Certification in 2001. Steve attended Troy University where he earned a degree in American History. He has 29 years experience as a public educator.

Steve Cagle - 14u

Tanner Dalton - 16u

Tanner grew up in Bakersfield, California, where he played for multiple youth teams, including the Valencia Express, LA Jr. Kings, California Heat, and California Titans. At 16 years old, he headed out to play prep school hockey for 3 years at Vermont Academy. After Vermont Academy, he played in the EHL for the New York Applecore, then finished off his playing career playing NCAA DIII hockey for the Milwaukee School of Engineering Tanner started as an apprentice, coaching at 18, and started to give lessons on his own at 19. Last season, Tanner coached the 14U Mallards Tournament Team, and was the skating coach for the 8U Mallards house program.

Coach Hawken was born and raised in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada. He started playing hockey when he was 5 years old and has been around the game his entire life. Coach Hawken played on a travel team from age 12 to 18 and he also played high school hockey. Coach Hawken still plays in local Adult Rec programs and he's looking forward to the 2024-25 season with the 18U Mallards.
